£12 for a course about how to live free in London. Surely, it should be free. The course promoter should have called it, "How to Live for Free in London, Except for Paying Me £12".

Learn how to spend less money and be happier. There are some tickets still left for How to live for free in London tomorrow. If you can't make it then check out the book instead: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Free-Adventures-margins-wasteful-society/dp/0091932734

Wasteful to grow bananas in heated green houses in UK. Importing them helps the so called 'third world' more than dropping money into a begging bowl.

Local is not better or less wasteful. Electronic media has no shipping cost neither does ideas, culture or emotions. The problem that needs to be fixed is the use of fossil fuels that are polluting the entire planet. The solution is renewable energy and nuclear energy that can't be used for weapons like the Chinese are developing.

Imagine how the nuclear energy debate might differ if the fuel was abundant and distributed across the world; if there was no real possibility of creating weapons-grade material as part of the process; if the waste remained toxic for hundreds rather than thousands of years; and if the power stations were small and presented no risk of massive explosions. http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/blog/2011/feb/16/china-nuclear-thorium.

Also see video on this page http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/02/01/china_thorium_bet/ (warning: very geeky)

So stay happy, humans made this mess and we will sort it out by sharing goods and products as well as idea and cultures.
