HTC Footprints

I am currently the proud owned of a white android G1 mobile phone. When the contract finishes in May I’ll have to decide on my next phone.

You can see the UK prices and availability of the HTC Desire here.

Should I join the cool crowd and get an iphone.

I think not.

Apple users’ smugness is suffocating.

I will update this page as I make progress on my quest for the perfect mobile phone.

I’ll try to keep a clear head and not be seduced by the dark side of hardware porn.

The new range of HTC phones have also been discussed on Buzz:

The HTC Desire is now out. My colleague, Kam, at work was phoned by the T-mobile shop. Apparently they had received only four new super phones from HTC. He dropped everything and legged it to the store on Fulham Road.

He paraded his new prize. The phone looked even better close up. It was light yet sturdy with a huge screen. It made the iphone look tubby.

I really liked it. I will definitely be getting one in May.

I just need to figure out which “apps” to get to go with it.

The HTC Desire Mobile Phone has some great applications pre-installed. In this sixth video of the series I show you the Peep & FriendStream Apps.

OK I have made up my mind. That sleek powerful body has seduced me. I feel naked with out a fully featured smart phone. My contract is nearly done. Forget the election. The date I’m looking forward to is contract end date. I want, I need, desire – I want the HTC desire.
My contract end date
The price I think I will pay about 150 pounds and then pay less per month. In that way I will save hundreds of pounds.

There are three types of popular smart phone you can nab.

Android - can do what an iphone can, but hundreds of models so you can express your individuality.

Blackberry - has BBM (messenger application for forming cliques at school/college) and can look either chatty or business-like.

Iphone - Will be out of date in June when iphone5 launches. A phone for people who like to belong and don't mind paying for the privilege. See the phones here

Excuse my rudeness if you have already answered this in above detailed analysis, I'm a total Luddite and zone out where tech speak begins! I too share your antipathy to the ubiquitous IPhone, but realise it's time to get smart. I hear this HTC gizmo is good, but is it only compatible with Windows? Please help. I can't face the Orange phone shop alone.
