**THE TEST (not serious just for fun)**

(1) Write down your total number on Facebook friends

(2) In order, count and remove from the total the number of:
A. People you physically see
B. Good looking males/females that you could potentially date
C. People you know from various websites who you'll probably never actually meet
D. Good looking females/males that are impractical or unavailable to date
E. People from the past

**MEANING OF RESULT**

(1a) Total of Facebook friends below 100 then either a sad case or new to Facebook
(1b) Total of Facebook friends above 200 then you are probably a mis-understood star in the making (vain/insecure)

(2) The higher the proportion of Facebook friends in A,B and C compared to D and E the greater your chances of being a popular high earning attractive individual.

Research by Prof Robin Dunbar at the University of Liverpool showed that most people have an average of 150 people in their social network, with a core of around five close friends, reflecting limitations on the capacity of the human brain. See [How many Facebook friends do you have?](http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1562754/How-many-Facebook-friends-do-you-have.html)

**MY RESULT**

(1) Total number of Facebook friends 38
A. 11
B. 0
C. 7
D. 10
E. 10

**CONCLUSION**

The above test is just a bit of fun but for some people Facebook friends can change the lives of some people.

If you wan a more scientific test then try out [Facebook grader](http://facebook.grader.com).
![A Facebook test - he Facebook Grade measures the reach and authority of a Facebook user](http://www.click2edit.com//photos/0000/0193/200903311238515029_8317.JPG)

"The Facebook Grade measures the reach and authority of a Facebook user.

**How is it calculated?**
The number of friends you have
The power of this network of friends
The completeness of your profile
...a few others

It is calculated as a percentile score. A grade of 6 means that Bone Smuggler scores higher than 6 percent of the 19,311 users that have been graded."

Found this in the Guardian Newspaper, a small exert:

Most infuriating is my near-constant Facebook-style method of internal communication that I cannot switch off.

Whenever I do something, I narrate internally.

Something like:

"Georgie is hacking into her husband's Facebook account just to see if she knows the password... Georgie is pleased she knows the password!... Georgie is disturbed to find her husband chatting to a very pretty 19-year-old rather a lot... Georgie is furthermore disturbed to discover her husband is partaking in cybersex with said 19-year-old!... Georgie is slowly realising that while she has been Facebook-chatting with her husband, he has simultaneously been sending the 19-year-old dirty messages!!... Georgie is considering divorce."

That's pretty much how it went.

From [He two-timed me on Facebook. But our divorce will be for real](http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2009/jan/31/facebook-sex-divorce)

I personally have found Facebook useful for keeping in touch with former colleagues. As my memory gets worse each year it is invaluable as a source of people's names. Gone are the days that I know the face but only have the name on the tip of my tongue. So no matter how many friends you have if it make your life better use it to its fullest.

But what would facebook look like if it was the real world:
