ANVIL! THE STORY OF ANVIL

Overview: Documentary following original heavy metal band Anvil, as they go for one last chance of fame.

Pace: Steady, going. The two main personalities are so endearing you never want it to end.

Humour: A lot of laughs in the cinema throughout. I felt slightly uneasy at first, like we were laughing at them, not with them. But, by the end I felt they wouldn’t mind either way, they’re such amiable guys.

Watchability: Documentary style. Quite stark especially the scenes set in the Canadian Winter, but easy/familiar viewing.

Mood on leaving the cinema: Touched and uplifted. Happy to know there are people like Anvil in the world.
